FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
You’ve got questions, we’ve got answers!
What if I’m self-employed?
Being self-employed is seldom an issue when it comes to financing a vehicle. Different lenders like to see different things when it comes to securing an auto loan, and our job is to help find the right one for you and your situation. To learn more, talk to one of our expert finance specialists or your sales person about your employment and what to expect.
What if I have a trade-in?
We take trade-ins, whether it’s running or not, whether you still owe money on it or not, and we buy every day. Our goal is to provide you with the best trade-in value possible, and we welcome the opportunity to do a free, no-risk evaluation of your vehicle. If you’re interested in trading in your current vehicle, you can get an instant appraisal on our site and by email.
What if I’ve had a repossession or bankruptcy?
We get it. Life happens. Don’t let that discourage you from getting the vehicle you need. You deserve safe, reliable, quality transportation. We want to help, so come on in and see what we can do for you!
What if I don’t have money to put down?
We can—and often do—help our customers who are unable to make a down payment, but it depends on many factors such as your credit score, credit report, length of employment at your current job, and more. If you’re interested in trading in your current vehicle, that may be used as a down payment depending on the value. Basically, no two people are in the same situation or have the same vehicle requirements. That’s why it’s best to come in and tell us about it so we can cater to your specific challenges and needs!
What if I have a new job?
Different lenders look for different things regarding employment, and not all of them need to see a lengthy employment period for your current position. Believe it or not, we even have lenders who will approve loans with as little as two weeks on the job! Come in and talk to our friendly and knowledgeable sales team and let’s see what we can do for you. And congrats on the new job!
What if I’m disabled or on Social Security?
Don’t worry! Most of our lenders happily welcome customers on a fixed income.
How much income must I have?
Our lenders typically like to see a minimum income of $1,200/mo. However, it can depend on a variety of other factors, so the best way to find out is to stop by and speak with us personally.
Do you report to the major credit reporting agencies?
Yes, we do report to Experian, TransUnion, and Equifax. However, auto loan inquiries may not necessarily cause your credit to take a significant hit, depending on the length of your search and the amount of credit checks you’ve run recently.
What if I’m a first-time buyer?
We love first-time buyers! We have many financing programs from our lenders that are very competitive to earn your business. Come in and see us so we can help you through the process.
What if I owe more money on my trade than it is worth?
We help people overcome negative equity every day, but this is another one of these difficult-to-answer questions because it depends on so many factors. If you’re unsure of the worth of your trade, you can use our free online appraisal service. The best thing to do is contact us directly and work with your sales person to develop a financing plan that works for you.
How much will my monthly payment be?
There is no one-size-fits-all answer for this as it varies greatly from person to person. Many factors are considered when determining monthly payments and interest rates for a car loan, including credit score, payment history, time at residence, length of employment, and more. Ultimately, the decision is made by the lender, but we fight for you to get you the best loan possible. The absolute best thing you can do to get this question answered is to contact your sales person and work on a financing and payment strategy directly.
What if I know I need a car, but I’m not sure what I’m looking for?
That’s never a problem. We have one of the largest inventories in the state. You can shop through hundreds of quality used cars, trucks, vans, and SUVS on our site, but we can help you best if you come in to see us. We can discuss what you’re looking for in a vehicle and what your needs are to help you find the best option for you. We know that a car is in an important purchase, and we care about making sure you’re not pressured into buying a vehicle you don’t want, so we let you take the lead and help you along the way. We’re open seven days a week, so stop in for a test drive!
How can I be sure that my used car will be reliable?
Driving with peace of mind is important. We get that, which is why all our vehicles are thoroughly road-tested and safety-inspected by our ASE-certified technicians. Every vehicle we sell comes with a free standard warranty and free 24/7 roadside assistance. If you find your car needing a little extra TLC, you can schedule an appointment with our full-service, on-site, NAPA-certified facility.
