Now that Thanksgiving is over, it’s officially gift-giving season. We all see commercials every year around this time, showing someone being surprised with the gift of a new car for the holidays, and wish it were us. Maybe this is your year! With the help of Kelley Blue Book, we’ve compiled a look at some of the most popular cars that were on wish lists all over America this year.
- Nissan Rouge
In addition to its overall popularity, the Nissan Rouge was actually the best-selling SUV in the country through the first six months of the year. It gets 26 MPG in the city and 33 MPG on the highway, with the option of adding a hybrid powertrain. It also features an Around View Monitor and optional third-row seating.
- Chevrolet Silverado
Did you know that the Chevy Silverado has the best towing capacity in its class? Maybe that’s what makes it the second-highest-selling vehicle in the U.S.—and the best-selling Chevy model. It pairs the features you’d expect from a full-size pickup with modern safety technology that’s in high demand this year.
- Toyota Camry
This one sold the most of any sedan in the country for the first half of 2017. The reliability and comfort of the Toyota Camry fit a variety of lifestyles, making it consistently desirable. It also has one of the best resale values of any vehicle, which is good to keep in mind when you’re ready to have it appraised for a trade.
- Honda Civic
The Honda Civic, like the Camry, is also known for its dependability, features that cater to the average driver’s needs, and high resale value. In fact, between Honda’s Civic, CR-V, and Accord and Toyota’s Camry, Corolla, and RAV4, Honda and Toyota combined made up more the half of all vehicle sales in 2017 with 60% of the most popular vehicles made by these two motor companies. The Honda Civic is a consistent favorite and has won the Overall Best Buy Award from Kelley Blue Book two years in a row. It’s also the most popular car in Ohio, with compact cars selling the most overall in the state!
- Ford F-Series
Is your dream truck large and tough but still exceptionally luxurious? Then the F-Series might be what you’ve been looking for. In fact, it’s what a lot of consumers have been looking for, and not just in 2017. It’s been the most popular truck in the U.S. for the last 40 years, and the best-selling vehicle overall for the last 35. If this year was any indication, the popularity of the Ford F-Series won’t be fading any time soon.
