Top Tailgating Tips

It wouldn’t be fall without a good tailgate party with friends and family before the big game. It’s fun and a great way to make sure no one cheers for your team hungry. If you’re anything like my family, you’re going to tailgate more than a couple times—that’s why I put together some of my best tips for pulling off the best tailgate party.

Arrive Early—Location, location, location. Tailgating starts with a game of competitive parking-spot hunting. The earlier you arrive the better chance you have of getting a spot close to the stadium or close to a restroom.

Freeze Water Bottles—In the morning, frozen water bottles will help other items in your cooler stay chilled. Then as the day wears on and all the other drinks start getting warm, you’ll still have cold water when the frozen water bottles melt.

Organization Station—Layered toolboxes are a great way to organize and pack all the utensils you’ll need for grilling. But don’t forget to save some space for first aid items!

Keep The Bugs At Bay—No one invited mosquitos to the party. If you’re having a bug problem, throw some sage or rosemary on the coals, it’ll create a natural bug repellant.

Garbage Bags—Bring more than you think you’ll need, actually bring the whole roll. You never know when you’ll need to turn garbage bags into rain ponchos.

I hope these tips help you host the best tailgate party ever. Go team!
